Our Story
Restoration Church began more than 20 years ago in Val Caron. Since then, God has continued to grow the church, and today we serve Greater Sudbury through multiple locations and ministries.
From the beginning, we’ve believed in building the Church together. Unity, relationship, and working alongside other churches are a big part of who we are.
Our Core Values
Love-Honour-Grace-Faith-Generosity
These aren’t just words on a wall. They shape how we treat people, make decisions, serve, lead, and build community.
Who are we?
We are a non-denominational church in Sudbury, Ontario that is focused on reaching our community and connecting the greater body of Christ in unity across Northern Ontario.
What do we believe?
- We believe in One True God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Creator of all things.
- We believe the Lord Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, crucified, died, was buried, resurrected, ascended into heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father the true God and the true Man. (Matt. 1:23, 1 Pet. 2:22)
- We believe in One True God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Creator of all things.
- We believe in the Bible in its entirety to be the inspired Word of God and the infallible rule of faith and conduct. (2 Tim. 3:15-17, 1 Thes. 2:13, 2 Pet. 1:21)
- We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the eternal happiness of the saved and eternal punishment of the lost. (1 Thes. 4:13-18)
- In the personal salvation of man through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. (John. 3:3; Eph. 2:8)
- We believe in sanctification through the Word of God and by the Holy Spirit, and we believe in personal holiness and purity of heart and live.
- We believe in Divine Healing, through faith in the Name of Jesus Christ, and that healing is included in the redemption. (Is. 53:4-5; Mt. 8:16-17; Jam. 5:14-16; 1 Pet. 2:24)
- We believe in water Baptism, in the Baptism in the Holy Spirit as distinct from the new birth, in speaking with tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance (Acts 2:4), in the gifts of the Spirit and the evidence of the fruit of the Spirit. We believe that all of these are available to believers. (Acts 10:44-46, 19:6)
- We believe in the hope of the soon coming, return of Jesus Christ. (1 Cor. 15:51-52; 1 Thes. 4:16-17)
What can I expect when I visit?
Each location is slightly different but in general you can expect to be greeted at the door, a time of worship with our band and a time of bible based teaching with one of our pastors. Also, a time of prayer is available after every service if you need to pray with someone. Other than that, just great people building a community centered around Christ!
How can I get involved?
First and foremost we want to make sure you’re growing in your relationship with Christ but getting involved can be a great way to make friends, connect deeper with the church and even learn some new skills! There is a lot of people that make each service a great experience for each member that includes friendly greeters, ushers helping people find seats, media team, worship teams, people that prep coffee ( important work ) children’s church and service directors.
